Touch Not Responding

If Touch is enabled but your AIVELA Ring Pro does not respond to taps, presses, or swipes, follow the steps below.

1.Check Touch & Gesture

In the AIVELA App:

  1. Go to Spotlight, then tap My Device in the top-right corner.
  2. Make sure Touch & Gesture is turned on.
  3. Tap Touch Settings.

2.Select the Correct Touch Mode

Under Touch Settings, make sure the selected mode matches the interaction you want to use.Available Touch modes include:

  • Music / Photo
  • Short Video
  • Slide / E-book

The action performed by each Touch command depends on the selected mode.Tap How to Use in the AIVELA App to view the instructions for the selected mode.

3.Check Your Phone Settings

Before using Touch controls, make sure the required phone settings are enabled.

Android

Make sure your AIVELA Ring Pro is enabled as an input device:

  1. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  2. Find your AIVELA Ring Pro in the list of connected devices.
  3. Open the device settings.
  4. Make sure Use as input device is turned on.

The setting name or location may vary depending on your phone model and Android version.

iOS

When using Short Video or Slide / E-book Touch modes, AssistiveTouch must be enabled:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Accessibility → Touch → AssistiveTouch.
  3. Turn on AssistiveTouch.

You can leave AssistiveTouch off when it is not required for the Touch mode you are using.System settings and menu names may vary depending on your operating system version.

4.Activate the Touch Pad

To reduce battery consumption, the touch surface remains in a sleep state by default and must be activated before use.To activate Touch:

  1. Swipe up and down on the touch surface.
  2. Wait for the activation notification.
  3. Confirm that the Touch Mode icon in Touch Setting turns on.
  4. Try the Touch command again.

If Touch is not used for approximately 1 minute, it automatically returns to sleep state by default. Swipe up and down on the touch surface to activate it again before using Touch controls.

5.Check the Touch Pad

Make sure the touch pad is clean and dry.Remove any moisture, dirt, lotion, soap, or other residue before trying Touch again.

6.Check the Ring Connection and Wear status

Make sure your AIVELA Ring Pro is connected normally and Wear status is on.If your ring cannot connect or reconnect, see Fix Ring Connection Issues.If your ring cannot correctly detect your wear status, see Wear Your AIVELA Ring Pro.

7.Update the App and Firmware

Make sure the AIVELA App and ring firmware are updated to the latest available versions.For instructions, see Update App & Firmware.After updating:

  1. Reconnect the ring to the AIVELA App.
  2. Make sure Touch & Gesture is turned on.
  3. Select the correct Touch mode.
  4. Check the required phone settings.
  5. Swipe up and down on the touch surface to activate the Touch pad.
  6. Try the Touch command again.

8.Contact AIVELA Support

If Touch still does not respond after completing the steps above, contact support@aivela.com.Provide:

  • Your AIVELA account email address
  • Ring serial number (SN)
  • Phone model
  • Operating system version
  • AIVELA App version
  • Ring firmware version
  • Selected Touch mode
  • The Touch command that does not respond
  • A short video showing the Touch activation process and the Touch command you are attempting
